Art as Expression

Our space is an open space for exploration and authentic expression.
It is not a place to “create perfect art” it is a place to discover.
Children work with:
Paints and mixed materials
Clay, sand, water, and natural elements
Recycled materials
Collage, cutting, gluing, building
The focus is on process, not product.
There is no “right” drawing there is your drawing.
Through art, children:
Strengthen fine motor skills.
Develop patience and persistence.
Express emotions and ideas.
Explore textures and materials.
Art is a language and we honor it.
Practical Life & Independence

Independence begins with real actions.
At Bloom Jai, children:
Help organize their environment.
Participate in food preparation.
Choose activities.
Care for their personal belongings.
Practice responsibility.
Our space is clear and accessible, allowing children to choose, initiate, and act independently while feeling supported.
We believe in:
Freedom within boundaries.
When boundaries are clear, freedom is safe.
English Through Experience

English is not treated as a separate subject it is part of daily life.
Language is acquired through experience, connection, play, and meaningful interaction.
Children hear and use English during morning circles, songs, storytelling, movement games, baking, outdoor exploration, and everyday conversations.
We do not focus on memorizing vocabulary we focus on context.
Our goals are to:
Build natural confidence in speaking.
Encourage children to try without fear.
Develop listening and comprehension through real situations.
Create a positive emotional connection to language.
We believe language grows through relationship not pressure.
Sports & Movement

The body is a central learning tool.
We believe children need to move in order to think, regulate, and grow.
During movement sessions, children:
Run, jump, roll, and climb
Balance and build obstacle courses
Participate in group games
Challenge their physical abilities in age-appropriate ways
Movement supports:
Self-confidence.
Sensory regulation.
Body awareness.
Resilience.
Teamwork.
We want children to know their bodies, trust them, and enjoy them
Nature Exploration

Nature is not an “extra activity” it is part of our daily rhythm.
Every day, children go outside to explore, observe, build, collect, question, and discover.
Nature teaches:
Patience.
Responsibility.
Wonder.
Emotional regulation.
Connection to the environment.
We do not see nature as a break from learning, We see it as learning itself.
Community & Dramatic Play

Dramatic play is at the heart of community building.
Through imagination and role-play, children:
Express emotions.
Process experiences.
Develop empathy.
Practice conflict resolution.
Our mixed-age model allows for:
Leadership
Modeling
Shared learning
Responsibility
Play is how children understand the world.
Baking

Food is part of our educational philosophy.
During baking days, children measure, mix, knead, taste, and cooperate.
They learn processes, patience, and teamwork.
Our approach to nutrition is guided by one principle:
Staff are responsible for food quality, children are responsible for quantity.
We respect each child’s sense of hunger and fullness.
There is no pressure, There is trust.
Inquiry & Discovery

We encourage genuine curiosity.
Children ask:
“Why?”
“How does this work?”
“What will happen if…?”
Through simple experiments, nature exploration, building, and hands-on discovery, children develop observation skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
We do not rush to give answers.
We support the process of discovery.
